Beyoncé is talented and extremely fine but her music has almost always been annoying to me. I like more Janet Jackson songs off the Janet album that all the singles Beyoncé has had in 20+ years. Rihanna’s singles are a lot better too.

She may have a lot of good songs on her albums that weren’t singles, I haven’t heard them.

I thought she was the finest celebrity though ever since I saw her in that No No No remix video.

christina has one of the greatest voices ever IMO but she abuses the shyt outta it. no point of having vocals like hers if you're not using it right. she's the queen of over singing damn near every single thing and doing unnecessary runs. she nailed it for her stripped album and never put together a full album of great songs again. waste of talent IMO

She oversings too much. My theory is that she got compared to Britney too much when she blew up and was viewed as just another pop teeny bopper act so she always wants to prove she has a great voice.

It’s not surprising that men can’t connect to her music. she purposely makes music ‘for the ladies’ Her music is hyper-feminine and heavy on the feminist empowerment tip (it’s been that way since the beginning), so it’d make sense why hetero men can’t relate to a lot of the actual content (lyrics/subject matter) because she doesn’t really cater to us at all outside of her genuine RnB jams.. I like the melodies though and her delivery/vocals make her more listenable than Rihanna who is literal white britney spears canon fodder.. no identity in her singles and could be sung by anyone especially when she tapped into that generic edm wave. Mariah is GOAT agreed and I never liked Janet contrary to popular belief (or any murmering whisper singers for that matter)

I agree completely with your assessment of Rihanna's music, but despite that, I still find her catalogue much more enjoyable to listen to than Beyonce's

im a singer/musician so my preference is always highly based on the vocal capacity and musicianship of the artist. I always prefer to listen to live reimagined arrangements.. whiny, squeaky pop styled voices annoys me most of the time.. Both rih and janet fall in this category for me.
