Didn't hit enter on my post because i didn't think it would happen (and this was just a day or two before the release of drizzy's joint last week).
This is as mainstream as real house will ever get.
Lets see how the masses eat this one/respond to it.
But i am anxious for the rest of the album and the dj's/remixers go to town on her shiit like yesteryear...
As a matter of fact, this is actually my fav Bey joint in this rendition:

Azealia Banks should be a legit star. She is extremely talented and was on the house wave like what? 6-8 years ago? And she did it right.
Someone needed to reign her in and get her on meds. Doing rituals, killing chickens and putting that mess on the internet was a bridge too far. And it’s not like other celebs don’t do those things

I love Bey, but most people can’t realize that she rides the popular waves. She’s a pop girl (with an R&B base) because she follows the same formulas as all of them. But that’s what you do in Pop. That’s what drove her to the top.
Matthew Knowles was a cheater, had a kid on her mom, probably screwed mad people over, but I give him his flowers for his business acumen. That man took a group of talented Black girls from the south and put them ON TOP of the global music market, and made his daughter a music ICON!
You have to move heaven and hell as a Black man to protect your daughter + other girls, fight racism and industry politics to push to the top. All as someone who was new to the industry. I am not discounting how terribly he must’ve hurt his family, but from just a business perspective, Mr. Knowles deserves his flowers. Bey shouldn’t have pushed him all the way out. I definitely believe that was because of JayZ and his business partners. And the funny thing is JayZ cheats as much as her dad did.
