Beyoncé shoehorning her career into country music is embarrassing and disrespectful.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
:russ:Non black people can hop around multiple of genres and everyone accepts it. Let that sista square dance in peace.

When Darius Rucker did it, he had to earn the fans respect. He basically built a new fan base and wanted to be treated like a legit country artist.

What Beyoncé doing is different. It’s not the same. It appears she’s singing R&B lyrics over country instrumentals and calling it country music.

The End
1. Black people started country
2. Beyoncé is literally from the south.
3. People just want “country” to belong to whites because Keith Urban cracker ass is Australian, Shania Twain is Canadian and Taylor Swift is from Pennsylvania.

none of them have actual ties to the american south and they all sing in fake accents

The problem with Beyoncé is that she’s black. and nothing else.

I am pretty sure that Black people have had a significant role in the creation and development of Country music. You might want to check out where the banjo is from.

Hell Ray Charles had one of the highest selling Country albums of all time.
