I mean House of Dereon was more affordable and that didn't really take off like dat. Beyonce moves music, not clothes. Humans hate to learn from history though, so that's that I guess :manny:

My mind's eye can't help but seeing your wife's friend as type obnoxious and you with completely vacant eyes and wanting to be anywhere but where you are at right then, right there :pachaha:
She hasn't moved music since Jay-Z killed her career for Tidal

I’ve always heard her clothes are sold out from people trying to buy them. Something ain’t adding up.

Probably because the stores didn’t pre order a lot for the fear of back log inventory and by the time they want to reorder customers said fukk it

They are go to stock x and search ivy park
A lot of those people held on to those products for too long thinking it’d eventually turn a profit and now they’re having to sell at a loss since the return window expired lol.

In Beyoncé’s defense, the majority of celebrity collaborations are flopping these days.

Why is Beyonce making a 'street wear' line anyways? I looked at the clothes and none of it looks like something Beyonce would be wearing. it looks like some breakdancing, 'jenny from the block' or female rapper clothes, which is why Ice Spice looks so at home in it. Doesn't fit Beyonce's brand at all and given the target audience, you can't try to sell luxury goods that aren't targeted to the rich when the economy is headed towards a recession and pricing street wear at luxury prices is a disaster.

her last release a year and some change ago with all the orange stuff sold out - i remember the campaign dropping, then a couple months deciding there was a piece i really liked, went to the Adidas site and most the stuff was sold out. now if they took her shyt down to make it look sold out, well they're the dumbasses who caused the loss
How luxury retailers like Louis Vuitton and everyone else under LVMH's umbrella markets scarcity is to launch with low numbers available. For each collection they will input x amount of stock at launch, usually a low figure to make it appear everything is sold out. Whatever they keyed into the site they have more than that on hand, the sell out happens and either people interested will sign up to the waitlist or you restock on a random date/time to capitalize off interest and get more sales off the inventory you already had just held back. It's done to drive urgency and make it look more in demand but also to keep people coming back to the site constantly to check availability, which is why you might see that site also promoting x at the same time that drop is happening.

What it sounds like is Beyonce's line had no problem selling out each time initially with the low numbers input and when it's supposed to sell out. After they circle back around and replenish is when the sales tank. The obvious answer would be to increase upfront availability and profit, which I'm sure they've done, but Adidas has projections a line is supposed to hit each year and if Beyonce's line just isn't selling like it used to there's not much you can do then. That's the sign of a bigger problem typically on the celeb/artist's end.

Based on the article it didn’t sell out. Idk what they are doing with unsold inventory

The ones with JayZ ion hbo

She’ll always sell out a show

Nah the smoke is waning so the image in the mirrors are clearer.

My point being, even though Ivy Park isn't doing Adidas projected numbers, I wouldn't argue Beys popularity or lack thereof is the main issue. She has no issue getting ppl to buy tour tickets. Not too many ppl paying $500 + to see someone they don't like/enjoy . She still one of the couple dozen or so of artist who can move 300k + albums the first week. can go platinum, etc for blk female artist that's rare nowadays

Last year there was only two drops for Ivy Park. Barely any acknowledgement from B on social media. Timing was off, ie selling summer shyt beginning in July. Designs impractical. Me putting money into B's pockets can't be the strongest selling point. And I don’t know how it was supposed to make 250 million in a year when they never even released 250 million dollars worth of products to the public

Like others suggested whenever there was a drop, it was there and then it wasn’t. It didn’t go to the sales so if it wasn’t moving then why not?

And even despite all that the article says it still made profit

But yea for them to release this information when media attention is hyper focused on her right now, she and Adidas relationship has obviously soured beyond repair ..they are trying to get her to bow out to avoid paying her

But no matter how popular she is, people aren’t looking to her for fashion like they are Rih or Kanye.

Now if she sold some reasonably priced cute workout items, I could see it doing well. But no one is paying a premium for that mess.

As we now know, addidas is losing lots of money so they are trying to save where they can.
