His reaction to her saying that shows that he’s guilty of something. It wouldn’t have stung so hard otherwise. Something that they are both aware of and he is compensating for, because his reaction spoke volumes. The way she rolled her eyes and said “No.” as well shows that he’s currently in the “dog house” in the relationship and she has power over him. I'm going contrarian here...

Gotta give the man the benefit of the doubt. They've been married for a few years now. She may have been saying nothing but great things about him constantly (at least from what I've seen)...put bruh on a pedestal. This could have been the very first time he's heard this kind of talk from her....and it caught him off guard.

His reaction may have been questionable, but he probably wasn't prepared for it. I bet this happens during interviews all the time. They opted to not edit it out..
