Biden's approval ratings aren't good at the moment, so I'm not sure him (or Kamala) running is a good thing for Dems. I'm not super confident he'd beat Trump again.

IMO it's better for the Democrats if he doesn't run again and they have an open primary. That way Dems can run whoever is popular at the time and won't be dragged down by Biden's baggage.
