Before I answer, I'm curious whether want me to answer and lose the ability to have it both ways...

Meaning, can you say that Obama isn't responsible for the change without tacitly admitting that Democratic policies that have been implemented around these ideals have had a positive effect over time? Do you think the life expectancy for African Americans 'naturally' increased over time through medicine but not the Democratic initiatives around equal access to medical care for example?

Let me ask this again... you’re saying these things are a result of the Democratic Party right? If so, surely you can link the policies/acts/programs that realized these results..... for example, you say there were democratic initiatives to give African Americans(exclusively) equal access to medicare... I have no idea what you’re talking about

"Well, he did fukk me and my people over but he said sorry." :mjcry:

"No other white man would do that for us." :mjcry:

"He going to help us get that hug and love. So stop being hard on him." :mjcry:

:russ:You cats are just sad man.

Not carrying water for him just stating a fact. Practically speaking I got enough money to not really have to vote Democrat, I can bounce anytime in a profession where I can get work in the EU/Canada and any English speaking nation but that's hella shortsighted and fukks over the most broke/fukked up of us that cant. We withhold our vote and they dub us for the Mexicans. Real long term plan? Unless you plan on moving out this bytch you do the best you can with what you got. It's crazy I even gotta explain this shyt it's hella basic :dwillhuh:

And that is why we will continue to be at the bottom of the totem pole. Do you think Latinos or any other race is just going to take what they can get and live witht eh rest? The spicy cacs voted in big numbers for Trump and yet they'll still be the first people to expect something from the Biden administration, and the sad thing is that they'll get a lot of what they want to.

Bro that's because they got the numbers and also they got the proximity to whiteness going for them, as in white people look at them through the lens of at least they aren't black

Nah, there’s still PLENTY to talk down on, and I stand by my criticisms, but can admit when I’m wrong.

You make a lot of sense, breh.
:ohhh:

But at this point, it’s just words. These people seem to be able to say all of the right things and talk a good game, but they’re never bout that action. Dems have been saying the right shyt for decades.
:francis:

When they actually start backing up that talk and providing some tangibles, then I’ll rock with them.
:yeshrug:

@neotheflyingone @tuckdog I’m just glad to see us brehs getting along and building, even when we disagree about certain things.

Biden apologized live on tv during the debates for his part in that crime bill. while that is still not enough, what white man you know willing to concede he did anything wrong or fight for some shyt that really doesnt have anything (as a race) to do with them at all. its a choice between that and a dude who wants to kick you out his apartments and bring the death penalty out on some black boys for some shyt they didnt do. until we get our own country with majority representation, you take what you can get and finesse your way around the rest.
yeah I'm sure all the lives irreparably damaged by Biden's participation in the War on crime and the crime bill are suddenly
humbled by the apology of joe biden.

Here is a quote from a paper put out by the government that, among other things, illustrates the racial discrepancy between African Americans and other races and how that gap can be closed:
Developments from 2000 to 2010
Smedley indicated, however, that it is important to acknowledge that some major developments in both the governmental and private sectors to address health inequities occurred between 2000 and 2010. During that period, the increase in the levels of attention and awareness about health inequities by all levels of government and by the general public was dramatic.

The federal government, in particular, is making significant efforts to address health inequities. For example, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) of 2010 will help improve access to care for many and will disproportionately improve access for low-income people and people of color. Smedley commented that more needs to be done in the area of community-based primary prevention. However, an important development is the elevation of the National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities to an institute within the National Institutes of Health so that it is now the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities.

The federal government also addressed health inequities through the stimulus funding provided through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, which led to the creation of the Communities Putting Prevention to Work initiative. Smedley stated that this initiative is critically important because it focuses on the importance of place and the need to create healthier conditions within communities.

In that same paper, they suggest investing in the community and eradicating food deserts as plans to further tackle the health outcomes prior to their onset:
Strategies for Addressing the Effects of Segregation on Health
Smedley concluded his comments by noting that two general strategies for addressing segregation and its relationship to health may be used. The first is a set of people-based strategies to increase housing mobility options. In this way, people would have the ability to move out of communities experiencing stress and disinvestment and into communities with greater investments.

The second set consists of place-based strategies, which are designed to increase investments in communities, thereby improving the conditions for better health in those communities. An example is the effort to provide incentives for large chain grocery stores to move into communities characterized as “food deserts.” Other place-based strategies include increases in investments in housing, transportation, and job creation. Dr. Smedley emphasized that these are the most important issues to be tackled to reduce health inequities.
Reducing Racial Health Care Disparities: A Social Psychological Analysis

In a separate paper a year later, they dove deeper into the results that governmental policy drove by Obama had on food deserts that disproportionately hurt African Americans:
In this essay, we discuss the specific role of physical access to food and the extent to which eliminating food deserts can improve dietary quality and decrease economic and racial/ethnic disparities in dietary quality. While a variety of factors contribute to income disparities in dietary quality, considerable attention has been focused on poor physical access to healthy foods leading to “food deserts.” The White House Task Force on Childhood Obesity explicitly considered the existence of “food deserts” (see Box 1 for a formal definition) as a contributor to poor nutrition in the US and advocated their elimination by 2017 [6]. The World Health Organization has advocated similar approaches [7]. Meanwhile, a small fraction (23.5 million, approximately 7% of the population) of Americans live in food deserts; even fewer live in food deserts without access to a privately owned car (2.3 million) [8]. Yet, there appears to be governmental enthusiasm for developing programs and regulations to eliminate food deserts. For instance, the US Departments of Agriculture, Health and Human Services and Treasury joined together to develop the Healthy Food Financing Initiative (HFFI) to “improve access to healthy, affordable foods” in food deserts [9], committing US$50 million in federal money for HFFI, with other substantial federal support through tax credits and community economic development grants to fund healthy food options in food deserts. Pennsylvania, Louisiana, and New York undertook large-scale programs to bring healthy food to low-income communities, with US$30 million in public funds in Pennsylvania alone, matched by nearly US$120 million in private funds [10]. These governmental programs provided funding to catalyze public–private partnerships leading to the construction of supermarkets and grocery stores in food deserts.
Moving Beyond “Food Deserts”: Reorienting United States Policies to Reduce Disparities in Diet Quality

So, this illustrates Democrats
Using Data -> Creating Policy from the Data -> Creating Programs around those policies -> Having positive impacts on the black community

Not gonna front, after the homie @3333broadway posted this, I had to swallow my pride and come admit I was wrong about this man.

I pictured him a young racist that turned more toward the left when overt racists lost control of the country, but this proves, at least to me, that he’s been fighting for black people long before it was the cool thing to do.

I still can’t ride for him because of the other bullshyt he’s done, but he at least has my respect and silent support now.

:ehh:

Any man that can speak this passionately and honestly about the plight of black people when those black people have nothing to offer him in return is good in my book.

BIDEN WAS PREPPING
FOR THE 1988 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
AND APARTHIED WAS A BIG ISSUE
AMONGST BLACK AMERICANS.

GOING AT REAGANS SECRETARY
OF STATE WAS NOTHING MORE
THAN A CHESS MOVE.

YOU nikkaS GOTTA THINK BIGGER...
