Contractors bid on the projects, the city pays the contractors for the work and materials. This give contractors (who can be black) the money, and the low income home owner gets the work for free as long as they don’t sell the home for a certain number of years. They can rent it out, but if they sell it before the time frame, they have to pay the city back.

Put EFFORT into finding resources instead of waiting for someone to feed them to you. Black Americans are not babies who need to be spoon fed. We are able bodied adults who need to be responsible for ourselves. Do you think the average Latino person’s life is improved with any government bill? What are the Mexicans living 10 deep across the street getting that black people aren’t getting?

Comments like this are the reason why us as black folk will never help each other rise and prosper. It costs you absolutely nothing just to give the names of the programs. Nobody is asking you to do the leg work, just to point in the right direction.

The reasons why other ethnic groups get ahead is because they help each other. Find me 10 black people that will sacrifice and live in a one bedroom to support each other to grow?
