And the reality is that unless the political machine gets behind a Gavin Newsome or someone else who can muster broad popular support, people are doing a disservice by acting like both of these geriatrics are equally bad.

Gavin is going to make a run after this election and would absolutely smoke the competition.

If you're running California or New York and doing it better than the previous administrations you've basically proven that you have what it takes to go even bigger. Cali isn't just one of the biggest economies in America its in the top ten WORLD WIDE. While Republicans want to convince you that dying at your job and never retiring or getting any health care is good actually, this guy is at least trying to use the power of the state to get drug prices down and give more funding to non profits currently trying to alleviate the housing crisis.

i still wish Newsom was running in 2024, and im not happy with Biden for not stepping down for him

i think Trump is the easiest republican for newsom to beat, especially this year, being the first post-Roe election. because if the republicans nominate some "normal" ohio-type republican in 2028, i think newsom's chances in the general go down drastically. they'll run with shyttin on california for being too liberal, and it'll work
