This is a big deal because many states have ALREADY legalized both medical and recreational marijuana…but the shyt was still illegal at the federal level.

That's on the individual states not the federal government. The president can't tell states what to do with marijuana policy. If the people want it legalized they need to vote for politicians that support it in their state.

What rescheduling does is make it easier for marijuana businesses to operate and research to be done freely.
