$50,000 isn't happening, so there's no use in even getting your hopes up.Insufficient, and that’s going to upset a lot of people. The political capital he stands to lose from doing $10,000 is, ironically enough, higher than what it would cost him if he did nothing. Doing a mere $10,000 would be seen as an inadequate gesture done for the sake of shoring up support before the midterms. It would upset a significant amount of his base that consists of the professional class (college-educated professionals in the middle and upper middle class) and progressives who already rsupporting view Biden as centre-right.
He has to at least forgive $50,000. People are hurting out here.

He's cutting it close this time though as the extension expires in a couple of weeks and not even the student loan companies know if he will extend it. I would assume he would considering that he told them to hold off on contacting borrowers, but still.

For-profit colleges need to be banned at this point. They're a straight-up grift that's destroying lives. Cost an arm and a leg but studies show that employers consider a for-profit degree to be worse than an associate's degree and barely even better than just a high school diploma.
Educate EVERYONE in your circles to avoid that shyt. They can go to community college for 10x less money and get an associate's degree where they'll have learned more AND be more likely to get hired.
We’ll be lucky to even get the 10K, so 50K definitely isn’t happening.
