Can someone in this thread list the positives of working from the office?

All I have are supporting small businesses near the office, people not having to use a part of their home as a office space or having to go somewhere for privacy, training can be better for some in person, and for you people who seem to can't get social interaction from somewhere else:yeshrug:.

Is that some if you guys argument? :unimpressed:

With these gas prices and growing CoL, idk what ground he has to stand on.

As long as oil is going up everything else is going up.

Takes energy to move this stuff to sell to people. Food, everything you buy in stores, construction supplies. Everything is going up.

The climate change agenda is going to kill the current economy, because they won't open any new pipelines to lower the prices.

War, sanctions and banning Russian oil will run the prices up higher.

Sending people to the office downtown will increase demand running up prices even more.

Still don't get why people thought Biden would be a better choice over Sanders. The Democratic party and their electorate fail america twice :snoop:

only our corporate overlords and scared centrist boomers picked biden over sanders. the democratic party fukked him over twice

I wasn’t “in my feelings” but you’re talking about being bored? Do you know how many things I can build, how much I can learn, how many small repairs/fix-ups on my house I can do when I’m “bored” at home, while getting paid? But like you said, do you…
If most of your job doesn’t involve working, but just being at the ready, then I understand it’s better to be at home so you can fill that time better. For those of us who actually work 100% of the time we are working, it’s all about being in the environment where you can be more efficient and productive. For me, that’s the office. And it’s not even close.

Most companies that can afford to stay remote will - and shout out to them, and the others like my district will continue to lose good people to remote jobs.

I'm trying to hire two more people, but its gonna be hard as shyt to try and convince potential employees to choose a 40% remote gig over a 100% remote gig.

:mjcry: fukk you Joe.

People want to mingle and mix..Espicially women..

Big city moving and shaking is where the unexpected happens as far as deals and networking go

If you trying to level up, NOTHING replaces being in someone's face and putting your stamp down in the trenches..

I don't care how good your "numbers" are, if you not 10 toes down where the action is, those promotions gonna pass you by..:yeshrug:

So all promotions stopped in the last two years? :heh:

Another poster was dead on when he said, this is a policy that directly impacts our lives. So yeah, it’s very important. If I lost my ability to WFH because of this old senile weekend at Bernie’s fukk(who I voted for in the general), I’d legit sit out the next election because of it.

At that point, I’d have no incentive to vote for him because he refuses to pass progressive legislation that I care about(Minimum wage, BBB plan, student loan relief). I’m getting angry as I type this out. :mjlol:

fukk Biden fr fr.
Do you think Trump would have done a better job at passing progressive legislation?
Do you think he would have nominated Jackson for the Supreme Court?
Sitting out is effectively voting for the other candidate.

He would have if not for his reparations comments and some other blunders during his campaign. I think he could have received a lot of black support had the other candidates endorsed him and Clyburn did what he had done for Sanders instead of Biden. I also disagree about independents as they aren't a single issue voting block especially not centered on opposition to socialism. It would not have been a guaranteed loss.
Now you’re just creating an alternative factual scenario. :lolbron:

Working efficiently. Being productive.
Of course, I’m speaking for myself. I understand it can be the opposite for others. We all aren’t doing the same job either, of course.

My company made record profits and still trying to bring us back. The real reason is there's layers upon layers of middle management who do relatively nothing. They don't add value in terms of production like the grunt workers, don't bring in any business really and aren't top executives who're actually running the company. They just manage. You could easily downsize the pyramid by a level or two and they're worried that the WFH environment will make the top execs realize this.

Already happened at my company.

The managers that really have to grind (like my manager), got raises because their efforts became more obvious. The mgrs and execs with redundant roles ended up retiring but weren't replaced.

People that were 60 with a VP title, retired and replaced by a 40 year old executive director. Same work but probably getting paid 20, 30, 40% less (still great money though).

The regular folks, there's more job hopping so A LOT of positions are available. People basically wanna know if you have telecommuting and a good salary. Starts and ends there. Got a manager friend in a different department that is leaving a $150k+ gig for a $95k gig just to telecommute instead of being in the office 3x a week. Breh has no debt and already paid his house off, plus kids have graduated college. Shyt is real.

Maybe but bottom line is there was unprecedented turnout much of it people just wanting Trump out of there. If the party had supported Bernie instead of Biden most of those voters would have followed suit.
