To certain single issue voters, it was the most important issue in high campaign as some voters care about certain issues more than others. It's naive to sit here and insist otherwise.
Of course. I just can’t imagine there were that many of them. Do you know the number?
I guess it doesn’t really matter at the end of the day. I agree with you that those voters should hold him accountable come next election, if there is a primary, or if the Republican nominee promises to do more on student loan relief (I wouldn’t hold your breath on that :dead: )

I'm not mad about it personally as I'm fine with paying off my student loans, but I can totally understand why others would be considering that Biden flat out lied and it's on record that he did. It's also not the first thing that he lied about.

Saying "bu...bu... Republicans" isn't going to change the fact that he did lie, so let's not use them as a defense for Biden.
Yeah but at the end of the day you gotta choose amongst flawed candidates. How do you hold Biden accountable at the polling place if the Republican nominee is worse on the issues you care about?

Y'all cats love bringing up Republicans anytime someone brings up valid criticisms of the Democratic Party. It's like you guys literally can't come up with a decent rebuttal without mentioning their name :skip:

Wasn't the issue that the child poverty parts were temporary and BBB was when they were going to try and make it permanent?
Yes on it being temporary. As for what’s in the BBB, who the fukk knows? :russ:
They’ve done an awful job of selling it. Part of the problem is that they are still trying to figure out what they can get 50 senators and the needed amount of house members to actually agree on. All they talk about is the price tag :francis:

LMAO All the Dems have to offer are COVID mandates and "take the vaccine".... Nothing on healthcare(but take your vaccine though), nothing on rising energy costs(in fact they laugh at you when you mention it), No talk about inflation...

Just mandates and vaccines... and "we aren't trump"...

Id be embarrassed if I voted for Biden...
You should be embarrassed that you voted for Trump.

How do you propose disgruntled voters hold Biden accountable than?

That's a politician problem and not voters. In any other walk of life you get replaced and fired if you like and/or don't keep your word and politics shouldn't be any different. If Biden doesn't keep to his word about cancelling student loans, then Democrats shouldn't be surprised if some voters don't turn out during midterms as they feel jaded.

Chuck flat out said today that Congress can't pass the student loan issue, but Biden can. Yet Biden still insists on having Congress to do it even when he can obviously do it himself.

Easy answer, but drastic answer. Withold your vote.

The guilt shyt won't work either as you should be directing that energy towards politicians to make sure that they keep to their word so those voters to show up at the polls instead of sitting at home out of anger and frustration.

If you have a problem with what I said, then blame the two party system for it rather than voters who have no other choice but to pick between two flawed and outdated political parties.

Which plays into the Republican’s strength. Dem’s are not the party that people are raised to think of as fiscally responsible. It’s absurd but even after Trump people think Republicans are “responsible”.

That’s cool. You gotta live with the consequences of your decision though.
You can withhold your vote in 24, but you may not have one in 28.

Like I said, blame your politicians if voters don't show up at the polls and not the voters who are upset and disenfranchised because of said politicians.

Congress can pass it, they just need to nuke the filibuster, so they get the votes and it becomes law. if Biden does it by EO then the next Republican president will over turn it by EO. Executive Orders are not permanent but Congress passing a bill is; hence why he wants them to do it for the amount.

Nukking isn’t an option and everybody knows it.

Like I said before, if Biden wasn’t going to do it via EO then he should have never made that promise in the first place. Biden can do the $10K on his own, he just chooses not do so. Him not doing it makes him look like a liar to his voting base who feel strongly about the issue.

Why you can’t do it isn’t voters problem when you said you could in the first place.

The funny thing is people think that what happened in Virginia was the only race. Democrats won most other races last week and flipped state level seats in a few places. NJ for the first time since 1977 elected back to back Democrats as governor. But listen to the media tell you how bad things are because Republicans barely won in Virginia.

Ehhhh you’re overlooking the losses that they took in NY.
