Texas goin independent :ehh: that's an interesting thought.

Say the Big-12 falls, what teams, if any, do u brehs see goin west to the PAC-12??
Possibility? Texas, OU, OSU, Texas Tech. Don't know if the Pac 12 care to have Tech or OSU though. The Big 10 wouldn't mind Texas and OU either. Just them two.

I honestly see a zero percent chance Texas is indy.

Texas probably goes to the Pac-12 when they jump. OU and OSU are a package deal, from what I understand.

I know Uconn is kicking themselves right now. All that talk about being better than the Big East.

our president David Boren is secretly in bed with Texas for whatever- reason. :francis:

as it stands, they're gonna have a title game soon, and it's likely gonna appear to be an OU/Texas rematch every year. Which would possibly screw one of the teams if they were ranked high enough to make the playoff

Texas isn't going independent.

Houston really had no chance. Only Texas wanted them in and it's not because of competition. It was politics in that Texas wants to build a campus in Houston. But 5 Texas teams in the conference? The rest of the conference wasn't going for that. But honestly BYU may be the best option but the Big 12 is the worst P5 conference in college football and adding Houston or BYU or Cincinnati, or even UConn wouldn't have changed that.

BYU and Houston would've been successful adds.

But BYU is too religious with some of their beliefs and that would likely cause issues with other schools and civil rights.

Houston would've wrecked shop with recruiting in the near future. Could've built a Big 12 contender just recruiting in the Houston/SA/Austin area.
