Stop posting OP. Only the most blatant steeler homer would argue this. Bree's is a super bowl MVP and Ben has been :trash: in each super bowl he's played in.

you don't even realize you stepped in mud, do you?
I'm aware of what I said. He's had an much easier road (Pittsburgh score less than 20 points in the 2008 afc title game and had 17 offensive points against the jets. 0 in the second half. New Orleans or San Diego don't win playing that bad offensively.) and had the officials even been average or mediocre at their jobs in 2005 and 2008 the steelers lose both games. Look at bens numbers. Look at drews numbers. It ain't close.

Okay you went from reasonable to hater with this post

I agree that Brees has had a better career, but there's nothing to be ashamed of there. There's only a handful of QBs that wouldn't be true for. But everybody knows football is a game of inches, a few plays here and there change the outcome of games. You wanna take away their 05/08 trophies because of refs is laughable. Any football game that isn't a complete blowout could have had the outcome altered one by a decision here or there by refs

Going against the Ravens(08,10) Rex Ryan's Jets D(10) + Bengals/Peyton in the dome +Broncos all on the road as a 2nd year QB is easier?:dwillhuh: No mention of the refs trying to screw over Pitt against Indy(Troy's int that was overturned and later the league apologized) and what happened in 08?:dwillhuh:

Yeah trying to take away those trophies is hilarious. The road to SB XL was one of the toughest in history. Beat #1, 2, 3 seeds all on the road and Ben played masterfully in all those games. Struggled in the SB yes, but still won

Long post coming

Super bowl 43 was horrifically officiated. I did forget the Troy pick that was called off that was as bad a call as I've ever seen. The Ravens were all kinds of beat up in 2008. We went into that game missing rolle and Mcallister. We had xfl cast offs starting at corner. Suggs and mason played with separated shoulders, willie Anderson was getting his knee drained every week like 2012 Matt Birk. Also had a rookie at quarterback. That's not even mentioning same in 2010 cam Cameron was out OC and Greg mattison was our DC in 2010. For 2005, bengals I'm conflicted on. Carson was great before that injury, but it happened early in the game and it was a wrap once he went down. I wouldn't call beating a mike shanahan coached team post 1998 impressive truthfully. He won 1 playoff game after elway. In 2008 they drew an 8-8 chargers team that had no business being in the playoffs while an 11 win New England team was sitting at home. Ben did play well on the way there in 2005 though. The win over the jets was just ugly. 17 offensive points and nine after he half. By no means am I meaning to dump on Ben and I'm aware it kinda veered into that territory (watching everyone fail at sacking him gets you kinda angry), but my point is Brees has had a better career in my estimation. Ring counting is a shytty argument in any sport, and football is where its worst since you play just one side of the ball. Ben is great but I'm not hesitating in taking drew instead. Ben has had more stinkers than I remember Brees having.

What was wrong with 43's officiating? The Ravens were beat up in 08 but they were still going against a Steelers team that trotted out arguably the worst offensive line to win a SB. Starks/Kemoeatu/Hartwig/Stapleton/Colon:scust:.And you've seen enough Ravens/Steelers game were as long as the starting QB's are playing it's gonna be close regardless. Beating a Broncos team on the road that was 13-3 and sent the defending champs packing the previous week? I'll take it. Not Pitt's fault SD got in at 8-8 and NE sat home with 11 wins. Maybe if they beat us in Foxborough earlier that year they would have made it in:yeshrug: The Jets win was ugly but the Jets had a damn good defense. If anything the 1st half of that game was an aberration. They sent Brady and Peyton home in back to back weeks while playing on the road prior to that game.
