I've had the exact opposite interaction with black women abroad. Very friendly. And open to feeling you out .

From what the ones I've spoken to told me, it's men that are normally standoffish to black women because they are usually chasing paags, palgs or pawgs.

Since they don't benefit from the fetishization of BM, Black women kinda struggle when traveling outside of the Caribbean and Africa.so believe me; they definitely want to befriend fellow black people.
The second time I went to Cartagena, Colombia in 2023, two Black American sisters flagged me down when they saw me walking. They asked was I American and I told them yes. They got really happy and told me how relieved they were to see another Black American there. I asked them how did they knew I was American and they said because I had the walk and demeanor of an American Black Man. :pachaha:

We hung out for a few hours that day.

What was their reason for going to Colombia? Flight attendants?

They were on vacation. They were two homely sisters.
Cancun, Cabo San Lucas, Talum, Playa Del Carmen, Belize City, San Jose, Panama City, Montego Bay, San Juan, US Virgin Islands, Trinidad, punta Cana, or even Cuba.
:ohhh:
All those spots are known, shorter flights, and more Americans go there. To choose Colombia is interesting to say the least. There has to be a story behind their choice.
:lupe:
I know why you were out there.

I did DR, Rio before I got married. Miss out on Cali to complete the golden triangle.

Part of why I went was there are a lot of Afro-Latinos there. I'm very interested in traveling throughout the diaspora, in particular in Central and South America to see how black people are living. I've been to Cuba, Colombia, and Jamaica so far. I really want to go to Haiti, but it's way too unstable right now.

I also go for the Afro-Latinas!
