Picking on Tim Duncan just seems...wrong. This nikka probably never drove without a seat belt or littered in his entire life. Here's a story about one the rare times I approached a celeb/public figure outside of a professional setting.
One night, Timmy was in a downtown bar with another teammember... dunno who. Can't even remember if school was in...
I walked up and was like, "Ayo, you Tim Duncan."
He didn't even look at me, and was like, "Nah."
I'm like
I'm was like, "So, you're just another dude who's damn near 7 foot w/ a strong resemblance to Tim chilling with Wake players?"
He was like, "Yeah."
And the Wake players were smirking.
I looked at his teammate and was like, "This guy."
I looked at Tim and was like..."Just know that I know, but I won't put it out there to these niccas that you're in here tonight."
Then he gave a slight nod, and a smirk.
This 7 foot nicca was just off in the bar...knees above the table, trying to be in the cut. You can't hide, my nig.
Considering his denial, he was cool about everything.
In retrospect, I shouldn't have even approached him. I was young. And I usually refrained from doing stuff like that outside of an event/professional setting.
Today, the only way I'd approach a celeb or a public figure when they're in chill mode is if I had a kid who was really a fan. And I'd still be very hesitant.
Clearly, Timmy don't want no problems man.
If he isn't hetero, which I HIGHLY doubt, then he might be one of the few pro basketball players to get a pass and still have hetero fans.
