That quote was taken way out of context. The original article said that they don't see MS spinning off Bing and Xbox since they are part of Microsofts long term strategy but if Satya Nadella wants to spin off a company then Bill gates won't be opposed. Meech and HHLF can rest easy.

In a perfect fantasy world that's what I would want. In reality Sega isn't even the same company they was when Dreamcast came out. They was in so bad shape financially they got acquired by Sammy Games years ago and was forced to pretty much go the 3rd party route.
