But It's hard to believe that mainstream artists have just been letting a random guy steal content and percentages from them without providing anything. Like why would someone like Hov give one of his best verses in years to him if that's the case?
He prolly just keeps it low-key because it's something a lot of people could do, doesn't wanna step on his own lane like that.
Once I saw video of Dj Drama reading a rant off of a pad like a 90's rap head
I had to fall back, they doing SOMETHING in there that's getting these artist's respect

Kind of a dumb response because I know what a whole lot of other big names in the industry do. I’m just saying for Khalid it’s not clear. Is he making the beats? Is he just organizing songs, putting artists together with producers? I never said he doesn’t do anything. It’s just not clear what his main role is.

Khaled had been known in the industry for years as a radio dj, party promoter, etc. He got hot on social media and that's all she wrote

His rolodex game is elite, and that's all there is to it

I've only heard a couple of beats he's ever done (under the Beat Novacaine on the Terror Squad album). He seems to just be great at making connections and connecting the dots/making shyt happen, etc.
