maybe the working out keeps them sane. it's probably a level of OCD too depending on how hard they go
the one friend i have who works out foreal, like mininum of 2-3 hours a day with the body to prove it, he recently disclosed he had a mental breakdown and is going to all kinds of therapy now. i wonder if the long hours in the gym is a coping mechanism for some of these ppl
