I don’t want Nas rappin over wack beats like this. I don’t want to see him collaborating with artists like Lil Nas X. Not because he’s gay. But because I don’t like his music.
That being said, I don’t think Nas will go in this direction with his music. It’s just a feature. I imagine this will be the highest charting song he’s been on in a long time. He performed it at the Grammys. I don’t think Lil Nas X’s fanbase is gonna check for Nas. They don’t like rapping, or even actual hip hop. But who cares? Nas is a legend and his place in the top 5 is solidified.
Nas is definitely opening doors for artists in the underground through Mass Appeal. I wish he’d collab with Griselda and Roc like @KickoTheDon wants. I know @spliz wants that too. If it doesn’t happen. Then that’s that.

And this is the thing. I would love for Nas to work with some of these people but I’m not butthurt if he doesn’t. shyt look at Roc Marci. I feel like him and Spitta working together is a given based on them being associated with the same people and everything. Both being underground kings. Both being able to fit over eachother’s production. And both being fans of eachother. But if it doesn’t happen. It is what it is. U got nikkas mad at Nas for even being in the same ROOM as Yo Gotti. That’s weird as fukk to me.

Brehs over analyzing this shyt. The dude's name is Lil Nax X. I was inevitable he would do a track or remix with Nas. Doing it at the Grammys made perfect sense, and the video/song makes sense. Doesn't take a marketing genius to figure it out lol.
Does this mean Nas is going after 18yo kids and rapping over trap forever? Of course not. It's a fun record he did, and an obvious opportunity he took. Good for him, end of story.
in terms of Benny...why hasn't Hov done a verse for him or Griselda either? Both Nas and Hov prob waiting for those dudes to level up more before giving them verses. I'm fine with that.
