This is so fukked up. I swear man the SUC is cursed and can't catch a break. All of these cats are pretty much gone except for KeKe, ESG (has colon cancer and leg was amputated last month due to a car accident), Ro, Flip, Botany Boyz. Met all of these cats back in the day at Screw's house and all of them were down to earth cool ass individuals. Just fukked up the day for me.

Big Pokey one of those names that, if you a hip hop fan of a certain age, you know the name thanks to that Paul Wall song. I always thought it was dope that Paul Wall showed love like that on his first mainstream single. Showed a love and appreciation for the culture.

I don’t know anything about Big Pokey’s personal life, but his death has echoes of Pun’s “I just lost 100 pounds. I’m trying to live”. When you get to a certain age, you have to start prioritizing your health and well being. It’s sad in this case, because it appears that’s what Pokey had done, but I guess it was too late.
