Agreed. And I would imagine the vast majority of paying customers are fans of teams instead of fans of players. Plus I'm not sure if people connect with most of the younger (under 30) stars like that.

No we didnt lol. No one saw Golden State being the worst team in the league status. Most saw them fighting for a playoff spot, a lot had them going for home court, and most saw Steph lighting it up this year. You can't really predict Steph getting hurt so early in the season, even though it was looking spooky for them from the jump.
