with a soundtrack to match. that was the illest part. i mean how you give me a song with lyrics for dream shatterer and the song sounds like a super hero song? this dude really was a comic book character. this is similar to what the WU did with their sound. it was so perfect to each of them, it made it that much better.
And you know whats funny and im foreal glad you pointed that out
Is it DID sound like some superhero theme music like the whole way thru
Even went as far as sampling Fresh in the beginning with the "blam blam blam!!"
Like yo, "IM THE PUNISHER!! Like foreal foreal! IM THE PUNISHER!!"

The way this album was put together plus having this new mc just pop up and get busy like that.
Just amazing

i was listening with my headphones on back then looking around the room like "YO... am i the only one hearing this? This PR/Black rapper is NEXT UP. Like this dude is the ONE.." I think it was that lead single crush a lot that threw me off. since i heard the original version first. i remember my lil bro use to love that song. obviously he didnt know what he was talking about. and i wasnt even feeling that song like that. it was cool. but that was it. then the remix with joe hit. that was dope. but i was still like. thats a nice joint. who dis Big Pun dude again? then for some reason i so that album cover... and i was like let me see if it sounds like it looks. and the answer was YES it does. You have to get crazy props to fat joe for putting that solid of an album together. again he has never in his life had an album that on point himself and he's been in the game forever. So to pull that off with his own artist is usually unheard of. usually, only guys like Puff or dre can do stuff like that. since they are originally PRODUCERS first and foremost. they have a great ear.

thats how i also knew fat joe wasnt playing around or hatin on Pun being successful.

Yeah, but Pun probably wrote for Joe too at the time. Sounds somewhat obvious if you listen to JOSE (a guess) & definitely Don Cartagena.

That's usually how many artists get on. Thats part of what the industry calls "paying your dues".

I SAID PRODUCTION. so the guest appearances mean nothing in regards to that.

there isnt an album out that doesnt have a few mediocre tracks. unless we're talking Some outkast, Dre(chronic 1 or 2), or Tribe's MM. pretty much every album has at least 2 to 3 suspect tracks. its a given.

•CC with clef is a terrible track
•capital pun, fast money, PD with busta (are all mediocre tracks)
•twinz track should never been used being only a few years from deep cover

im not hating
again its great LP but IMO its not flawless

Infamous and Hell on Earth as well breh. I agree with Liquid Swords, but not with CP. There are definitely a few stumbling blocks on CP...but I'm still not entirely sure what OP's point is...and I love Pun so I'm gonna let him cook.
