I disagree.

You can't pretend "Yeah Baby" doesn't exist, I gave that shyt away. And regardless of the time constraints in regards to Pun I definitely feel like Em is a much better song writer overall. Given that on the technical side of things it's kinda neck and neck, that's where I start to see separation.

How is capital punishment better than the slim shady Lp. Big pun is nothing but a rehashed kool g rap while em bought originally with lyrics and content

capital punishment is better than any em album but is he better as an overall mc? i cant say for sure, he needed more time to prove it:sad:. snoop started off as a potential goat but look what happend over time, it seemed like pun was going in the same direction nah i mean?

in the small amount of time he was here, pun proved it with his versatility

naw, i don't pretend that album doesn't exist
i actually liked yeeeah baby for the most part. was it capital punishment? hell naw but it was a decent album for the most part, least to me anyway
however, i respect your opinion :ehh:

at the bolded, because it is. better songs, better production etc etc
and pun wasn't just a rehash of kool g rap. he was a student of the man the same way nas was a student of rakim and kool g rap but pun was still original

you say em bought originality with lyrics and content but you sayin' pun didn't? get the fukk outta here
em was original but to sit here and say pun wasn't is some bullshyt, straight up

pun came through with his own sense of humor too. he could be funny with his shyt and that wasn't g rap's style with the humor. that was pun's own sense of humor
so sure, pun was influenced and used some of g rap's style but it wasn't like verbatim. pun still had his own voice

em sounded very similar to nas and az on his very 1st album, infinite
he also was greatly influenced by treach. you can hear it in his style of rappin'.
2 other influences you can here in his style of rappin' in his old music are masta ace and redman
so don't sit here and act like there eminem is the be all and end all lol
i ain't sayin' eminem won't talented because he was, i'm just sayin' pun was better. period

That line had nothin to do wit the Mafia. Again Pun has never rapped Mafia shyt. He used Kool G Raps style and elevated but their subject matter was completely different

So someone rapping about lil
Italy isn't Mafia related ? Lol man shut up
