U are not a smart man.
I think Sean is more gifted than J Cole on the mic...I just think Sean needs to stop trying to score singles. His introspective shyt is super fly.
Bruh don't compare this to born sinner that's and embarrassing comparison. I actually like big Sean but this might be the worst thing he put out honestly.
if its that badlol if you hate big sean why the fukk you come in the thread and why you even listen
and lol at big sean being bland, this album has tons of sounds on it, whether you actually like them or not. compared to j cole album which while good sounds like 3 or 4 long ass songs

He good but not in Coles class.
Sean used to be one of my favorite rappers a couple years back. I just don't like the direction he's been going and this album is pretty weak in my opinion. Like others have said hes had mixtapes better than this. I see why some people might like it but its just not for me. I feel like he's just covering basic rapper shyt and we're not hearing anything to make him stand out hence why I and others have called him bland. If you like it cool, but I'm not shocked people don't like it.
i feel like nothing is stopping you, fire, ashley, toyota music, and world ablaze arent "basic rapper shyt" and thats just off the top of my head but i hear younikka. Cole is NOT THAT GREAT OF A RAPPER. I swear you all really don't get it. I mean damn, even though Sean might not have the best songs in his catalogue, you KNOW he's more gifted and technically proficient than J Cole on the mic.
I'm not budging on that. Born Sinner was an ode to mediocrity.
This shyt is Big Sean 1/3 chasing singles and 2/3s being honest to himself.
i feel like nothing is stopping you, fire, ashley, toyota music, and world ablaze arent "basic rapper shyt" and thats just off the top of my head but i hear you
In what ways have Sean displayed being a better rapper than cole.
Metaphors. Story telling. Cadence. Charisma. Visualizations. Punchlines. ...production?
Cole can rap. For sure. I'm not saying he can't...but the guy just isn't as gifted as he's made out to be. He's just one big "meh"
I understand people hold big sean's physical stature against him, but that doesn't take away from his talent on the mic.
mind you, i've been listening to dude since he was doing free shows with Mike Posner.
Sean can rap. Very well.
I just don't think this album did it for him.
