Pretty solid album.

Just like J. Cole's Sallie Mae raps have gotten stale, Big Sean using the same themes over-and-over has grown stale. But I still liked this.

The Mula Remix goes hard, but it's almost a whole year late, so I'm not too excited about it.

I didn't think anything really stood out as a song that will go down as one of my top songs of the year. Fire and the James Fauntleroy song were probably my favorites.

Cole shyt was is like some bland ass vegetable music. You know people tell you it's good for you but when you finally try it you like this shyt bland as fukk

Sean done dropped that soul food, ribs, Mac and cheese, yams, greens and some liquor

Yeah Cole can spit better than Sean but his album was sorta boring.

This is better as a complete album, it has some misses here but overall 4/5

After a few listens I'm disappointed because it isn't better than 'Detroit', but that isn't saying it's bad. I probably wouldn't play it in the crib just chillin', but it's perfect for the car.

And idk why everyone is bringing up Cole ... BUT ... the production is better than Born Sinner. And the album is more entertaining somewhat.

It was a great feel good album, I still think just like Cole that both can do a lot better.
It's like Drakes first album, you can hear that he's thinking "Ah they're gonna fukk with this", "Ah this is for the white girls", "Ah the real nikkas are gonna relate to this", "I need to drop a joint for xxx". While Kendrick and Drake (on his 2nd album) and both Sean and Cole on their mixtapes just get in the zone and go in and let people adapt to their music, instead of the other way around. Where they try to adapt to their implied and desired fan bases.

Cole didn't rap about college and shyt on his sophomore album..? Except the intro, dude didn't talk much about his college years.
A few lines that were inevitable cause if not he would jump over his life from NC to fame and not the struggle in between.
