I always say its great when you come out of the miry clay, the little things in life you probably wouldn't have been grateful for you are now.

Vancouver, and Portland are tops in the Northwest in terms of scenery.
Vancouver is the best, but Portland(and surround area) is amazing. Go west, you're 1 hr drive from the beach, go east and you're 45 mins away from snocapped mountains/skiing.

Yup. The top pic is harrison hot springs. I lived there for a year.
Small ass town but beatiful as fukk. Used to go for hikes all the time. Bought a small inflatable boat and would go paddle around find new areas to explore.
Just take nothing but some food, matches etc. Hike around set up shop to eat and relax in a closed off area not another human for miles and miles.
Would always find small clearings of just indescrible beauty.
But like you said everythings close proximity. Can head downtown for the night life friday, spend saturday at the lake then sunday hit the beautiful snowcap mountains.
