I see what he’s saying but the “old locker room” simply can’t and won’t exist in the current climate.

Old locker room also had a competitor on equal footing and was in the midst of a massive ratings war. WWE now is the end game, so peeps are complacent. Before AEW, it was manufactured rivalries between RAW and Smackdown which most of the time came off corny as hell. It wasn't until AEW launched that WWE cared about locking people up to longer contracts or not letting anyone go to the competition.
