Supposedly it’s a play to see all of his paperwork to see whose snitching, then switch to a real lawyer.

Your lawyer shows you the paperwork. You get access to all your discovery. Just by reading the public record stuff, he already knows who those CI's are. That wouldn't make a difference. If I had to guess, the guys who go pro per, are mostly delusional OG street guys who think they either can't trust a CJA apponted/federal defenders attorney, or they are just that smart and savvy they can do it. Delusional.

Even if this case is inflated, and it is, like a lot of these major RICO are, he has no play here. Hope to get 35 years and not life. He's a repeat offender, who played the system, and laughed at the government, and the entire community under the guise of being a reformer and role model, pretty much the worst kind of offender to the US Attorneys Office, and the District judge.

Your lawyer shows you what he thinks is necessary pertaining to the case. Big U wants to deep dive everything he can to see if he can find any nikka telling any kind of shyt. U Knows he ain’t coming home. He looking for shyt to hold against muhfukkas behind them walls. He definitely gone go through everything then tell the judge it’s too much he can’t handle it.

Not arguing with you, but all you have to do is ask your attorney and he will show you. Most guys don't know or care enough. Even my homies had whole books on their cases, never read the shyt. For them, that was the lawyer's job, but your attorney/or U acting as his own attorney have the exact same access.

You are right you can get the motion of discovery. But you can also be denied info that’s in it when it comes to disclosing informants amongst other things sometimes lawyers are not able to let certain info be known even to clients until the trial. But the lawyer has 100% access and U being his own lawyer would have 100%.
