I think Will could actually have success if he recognizes his lane.. don't try to still be the "Fresh Prince".. but he could probably make some funny relatable songs about being a parent of teenagers. Like a grownup version of Summertime or Parents Just Don't Understand..
When is the last time he was trying to be the fresh prince he had songs like just the two of us almost 20 years ago he been grow up.

Rakim didnt write this it does sound like his cadence though.
One thing that Townes had to set the record straight about was a long-held rumor that Rakim had ghostwritten Smith’s lyrics on the song. But, as Townes explained, Smith was the sole author.

It’s just that the group was at a tricky point in their rap career just before the record dropped, having had lots of crossover success with songs like Parents Just Don’t Understand. Their cred among hip-hop purists was waning.

Townes told Smith to not add his name to the beginning of the song in order for rap fans not to dismiss it immediately as a pop tune. Instead, he instructed Smith to use another approach.

‘Will was always very hyper and I told him, “Bring it back. Vibe with it,”‘ Townes said. ‘And when he did that, everyone was like, “Wow. He sounds like Rakim.” From the first day we played the record for people, they thought it was Rakim. When we first released it, everyone was like, “Did you hear that new song that Rakim did?”‘

But there’s another point that Townes couldn’t totally dispel about the duo’s planned comeback. Though he admits it’s not exactly an easy thing to do considering Smith’s main gig these days. ‘We’ve been talking about doing that and going on tour,’ Townes added. ‘It’s just very, very hard with the biggest movie star in the world. Trust me, I tell everybody, his heart is 100 per cent in it. But Men in Black III’ will rule that out very quickly.’

:ohhh:

If Will can still spit like this i might have 2 peep

I don't think Will can rap like that anymore, if at all save for a line here & there.

He's been in Hollywood too long and unlike someone like LL he hasn't been consistently rapping(unless he's just been doing it and never releasing it).

But hey, he's got the clout to get in the sutdio with anyone, so maybe they can inspire him and bring back the Fresh Prince
