europop?

thats the blackest sounding song on the whole album :what: with the piano and singing.

meanwhile there are damn near gay anthems from france littered all over the album and you pick Tremendous Damage as the "euro pop" song :usure: :laff:

yeah ur definitely a cac :mjpls:

or you don't know the difference between indie and euro pop :snoop:
and when i compare tremendous damage to euro pop is because that is the closes the album gets to an euro pop song

Love this album. Think most 'Kast fans were expecting a 'Kast album but Big Boi been expanded his musical range even with the last album. Can't keep making the same albums over and over.

So far, my fav is the Thickets with that Jodeci sample. Lines is beastly still too. And TI goes off on In the A. Still not feeling that Luda verse.
Sounds like an OutKast album to me; more so than Speakerboxxx or his first solo.

is Outkast officially dead yet? don't see and Dre 3000 features.

they both say it isn't and pretend to laugh about it, but they dead

Big Boi sent him 4-5 tracks for him to jump on for this album but he didn't do shyt, but had no problem jumping Ross, Frank Ocean, Wayne, Drake, Beyonce's tracks :snoop:

for his last album Jive blocked 3000 because they were pissed they wouldn't put out an outkast album but for this album they didn't interfere

maybe i used the wrong word when i said euro pop..but theres more singing on the hooks than a jadakiss album.. all im saying...

only album that really had some semblance of an outkast sound to me was the last track on the album.

After a few listens, I really appreciate what Big Boi did with this album.

Sir Lucious was like a continuation of the DF/Outkast sound. It was a logical step-forward from Speakerboxx

This album is nothing like that tho. I dont know if he couldve made another sequel to those albums without it being stale. The sound here is completely original at the very least.

Not everything works, but Im glad that he cooked up some food-for-thought like Kast has always been known for. There were times I actually wish he went a bit crazier with the concept. "Higher Res" was some ill chit
