The Warriors had key injuries and were down one of their best players for a game. That alone makes it less of a "choke", and more extenuating circumstances.

There is no excuse for what the Falcons did given their position of being up 25 points at the time. You have to try hard to lose in that situation, which is the exact nature of a choke job.

Exactly. They were up FOUR SCORES with 80% of regulation already having been played.

Hell, the Patriots missed an XP, and had to convert on two different two point conversations. It's honestly almost unfathomable how the Falcons blew it. I mean, I was legitimately saying even in the third quarter that I believed the Patriots could come back, but in the fashion they did was unreal.

Guys, the Warriors lost three straight games with two of them at home.

Are you kidding me? It's the Warriors and it's not even close.

nah. And i don't why "it's not even close" is a go to statement people use, when most of the time the argument is in fact very close :pachaha:
Both of these were epic failures...but the real indicator should be which of these teams recover the best. I don't think Atlanta recovers from this anytime soon... much lower odds of them going back to the championship game than Golden State

The falcons,

both losses were historic
NE
  • had a 25 point deficit
  • receivers weren't catching nothing the first half
  • got 2 2pt conversions
  • had a pick six
  • no #1 weapon (IE GRONK)
  • Played like the browns the first three quarters
Theres no excuse for losing like that

GS got dude in their feelings. No way is this close. ATL has the biggest choke job in the history of life. Just the sheer amount of people to witness this may have killed the NFL. Rigged is the biggest word I hear coming from casual fans after this meltdown.

If you had a choice of being up 25 points in a football game with only a quarter to play. Or leading a playoff series 3-1, which would you choose? Not knowing any particulars about these situations, you'd be a fool not to choose the football game.
End thread. As a fan, I would 10/10 times watch game 5. If I were a Patriots fan, I would have turned off the TV and taken a shower after the 3Q.

Only way golden state choke if kiki vandeweghe bytch ass didn't suspend dray for calling lebron a bytch and then u wouldn't have to worry about bogurt getting hurt

Atlanta at full strength and only had to score 3 points out of the 3 positions they had in the 4th.... 3rd and 1 and u call a pass pattern which wasn't a slant or out route, but a 7 step drop back which lead to a fumble or could have easily ran the ball..

U recover a onside kick and had a 1st and 10 at new England 40 and had a 3 and out

U had a 1st and 10 at new England 20 and forced to punt at your own 45

U up 28- 9 with 13 minutes left...

Worst choke job in history

For me its def Atlanta.
Atl failed at ever Aspect of the game the 2nd half.
The coaching was horrendous. With horrible clock management, decision making/play calling.
Matt ryan taking a 7 step drop on a 3rd and 1 play when you're in field goal range:why:
Special teams taking the ball out of the end zone and getting stopped at the 10 yard line:snoop:
Special teams letting edleman return a punt to the 40 yard line:dahell:
It was a horrible fail in every phase of the game. I cant put too much on the defense. They played a hell of a first half. But we're obviously gassed with all those quick 3 and outs the offense was giving them.

The warriors was bad. But losing 3 games(especially with injuries and suspensions) is a lot easier than losing after being up 25 points in the 4th quarter :scust:
