Again, this isn't even close. The Falcons loss was infinitely worse. I'll take my chances with the best player in the world needing to win three games in a row by any amount over an NFL team coming back from TWENTY-FIVE points down with less than three minutes to go in the third quarter. Not to mention the Falcons offense was supposedly one of the best we've ever seen, and they had the regular season MVP.

Combine the two biggest Super Bowl comebacks in history before this game, and they still fall five points short of the Patriots comeback and Falcons collapse.

This is not even remotely close. The Falcons loss was far worse.

I mean just ask yourself this...

You got a million dollars

You got to bet it on...

Falcons having a 25 point lead in the superbowl and blowing it...

Or...

Cleveland coming back down 3 - 1 to a team with the best regular season record ever...coach of the year...and the unanimous MVP...

I just don't see how this is even close...you got to get lucky 3 times in a row to win that cleveland bet...

If there is anyone who is going to come back down 25 in a superbowl it is going to be the patriots...

If there is a team that is going to give up when down 3 - 1 it is cleveland...their entire sports history is nothing but them blowing championships until the nba finals...

I thought people were shytting on curry because delladova was playing good d?
Steph Curry is having the worst NBA Finals of any MVP in history
What went wrong for Steph Curry in the 2016 NBA Finals?

yea curry was beasting :skip:

Warriors being up 3-1 didnt mean shyt once their starters went down. Curry wasnt playing his best in the finals. They won all of their games with bogut and green. You take those starters out and it is tough to win. People shyt on bogut, but he was their starting center.

Answer is falcons

Tired of y'all saying the Cavs had time to prepare for each game like the Warriors didn't :dahell:

They had two home games. They had the best record ever. Dray missed one game.

You can talk about Bogut being out but injuries are part of it, Falcons center had a broken fukking leg.

This is true. They had home court advantage to bring the championship back home.

im not saying its not a huge chock job by atlanta, just the warriors is worse. the nature of football just makes it more likely IMO. the best team does not always win in football for this reason. a wild card team can win it all. basketball is different. they lost the last 3 games of the season! the only way they could not win the title is to lose the last 3 games of the season. do you want the damn championship or not ?

The Warriors had key injuries and were down one of their best players for a game. That alone makes it less of a "choke", and more extenuating circumstances.

There is no excuse for what the Falcons did given their position of being up 25 points at the time. You have to try hard to lose in that situation, which is the exact nature of a choke job.

Sure the Warriors choked, but teams have come back from 3-1 before. What the Falcons did was unprecedented. They gave up back to back 2 point conversions, had the opportunity to kill clock by running the ball, circus catch, turnover, etc. Even in hindsight, if you ask me what are the chances of the opposing team pulling that off, I'll tell you 0 percent. However, the Falcons allowed all this to happen.
