Lavar isn't a "star" now. He's just an easy soundbite on slow news days and good material for memes. The only way he can become somewhat of a star is if Lonzo becomes a top player in the league. If Lonzo becomes a top player in the league, he's automatically a bigger commodity than his dad. People don't really give a shyt about athlete's parents. Especially if the parent didn't actually accomplish anything noteworthy themselves.

Lavar's biggest chances to shine are right now in the offseason. He keeps people interested in basketball regardless of your stance on him. If you like Lonzo he gets you hype to see him win. If you hate Lavar you still want the season to start up to root against him and Lonzo.

Pretty much I could see Lavar manipulating the media during the slow news days, offseasons, shyt match ups or god forbid another playoffs like last year :scust:
