stop :snoop:

6'8 250 lb types are not built to be soccer players

this dude cant even sniff the 2nd division but would at least be on a practice squad if he grew up in the states

The American athletes we're talking about look nothing like this, so your characterization is invalid at face. This is the type of American athlete you think we're talking about, but you have even misrepresented his abilities:

Yeah they'd never make it out the academy

I gave you T Mac and Bron as big time recognizable entities.... But lets forget height.... :sas1:

All the athletes under 6 feet that have played at the highest level of their respective sport, whether its a Barry Sanders or A.I. , never had the opportunity to play soccer as a kid...

Its just not promoted enough and hasn't caught on to the inner city, but if it does........ :whew:

Its probably why baseball and soccer franchises won't make that effort to engage the hood to peak these kids curiosity...

i know you have a fetish for football players but shuffling and pushing and tackling are not translatable skills

who cares how big his arms are you weirdo

yes, please, let's forget height, but then this is a different argument completely :russ: and not one i disagree with if you add in coaching infrastructure. there has to be a generation to try and fail at the highest levels who can come back and teach first. raw talent isnt doing anything on a major stage. i've seen people from thailand and saudi arabia destroy whole squads on a futsal court, but those teams aren't even regional powers

a lot of americans think they're athletically superior to other nationalities for some reason, and they just need a sport to be popular to be good at it. but the real difference is how it's taught and the huge population. popularity just feeds both of those

My point is that you don't even represent American athletes correctly so any comparison is moot. Moreover soccer players can't play the same sports such American athletes can play the same way Dareus can't be play. Lebron, however, can play soccer all he wants.

i dont care that soccer players cant play other sports, you're the first to suggest this :mjlol: go fight some other crime

lebron isn't even the most graceful player on the court at a given time, but put a ball at his feet and suddenly he grows tekkers

you're a lost fool, go watch nfl combine tapes

use more relative comparisons

like messi 5'7 maurice jones drew 5'7

ronaldo 6'1 todd gurley 6'1

we tend to imagine that if mjd and gully gurley were trained exactly the same way from the same age as messi and ronaldo they could do the same things(with significantly more speed power and explosiveness:troll:)

but english football is about skill development before athleticism

american youth isn't really concerned with football outside of fifa

we won't know what is possible until that changes

I can't see Lebron play any position in soccer other than goalie.

But someone like Chef Curry, AI, Chris Paul, many RB's and slot receivers in the NFL, could probably be pretty good soccer players. A few of them would be good enough to play professionally.

:lolbron:bronbron like peter crouch on juice

& i don't see how taking athletes who are significantly faster stronger and more coordinated and giving the same training as they receive in the best football acadamies and clubs would produce worse players:patrice:

take the best athletes from the us 6'3 and down and train them in the exact same manner as messi ronaldo etc.

:sas2:what type of results would we see¿

:troll:murica

So when you guys spit claims like sports being rigged, you're saying the players go out their with fake enthusiam because they know they're gonna lose already before it starts? Then why dont more retired athletes, coaches, refs speak on this? Would have to be a huge conspiracy
