Relapse 2. One of the biggest teases in rap history.

Release the original album, announce you have a sequel coming to the point where you put a skit about it on the original album ("What is this? Two CDs?!"). Let the critics shame you into not releasing the sequel, put out the original album with a couple new songs instead so people don't wonder where the sequel is, then announce months later there is no sequel and you have a new album coming.

I'll never understand this. It's not like Relapse 2 was supposed to be brand new material. It was just going to be more songs from the Relapse sessions, because Eminem and Dre recorded four albums' worth of material. Even if you're working on something else, just take the best stuff left over and make it Relapse 2, then put out Recovery a year later. Most likely, nobody pays attention to Relapse 2 but at least it still comes out.

Outside of Detox, it has to be this:

^^^ who drops a song on another artist's album announcing their album is done? The GOAT and years later, said album still hasn't dropped. We all know he wasn't talking about Nasir, the KD albums or Magic because this was years before any of those were even announced or started.

I love this song so much. Nas sounded reinvigorated, like he was ready to get people excited about music again. It's too bad this song ended up promoting an album that never came out or it would be considered one of the highlights of Nas' career.

I think some of the Nas Album Done songs ended up being released anyway (The Swizz Beatz stuff at least).

OutKast- The Hard 10

^^^ they tease June 2005 as a date, but this album was scrapped. I remember Andre 3000 cutting his hair because this album was supposed to be 10 songs produced by Organized Noize as a nod to their debut.

Even stranger, I read an article months ago that said in 2009, the plan was for OutKast to release an Andre album, a Big Boi album, and then a group album. I don't know if they were supposed to overlap, but the article discussed it like it was a done deal and none of those albums came out. I seriously wonder what happened there.

Man, WHAT.

When brehs heard "No Other" off of Dedication 2, demand was crazy high.

nikkas sold me a dream lol I went to the Glow in the Dark tour. I even went to another Lupe Fiasco concert and he was hyping up the crowd like he's going to give us a CRS album even if he has to drag Kanye and Pharrell in the studio with him lol
