Young Chris but i can't say that it's completely his fault. He should have been with a major years ago. But at the same time he should have always kept his name out there and kept his buzz high and made someone have to sign him again.

pharoahe monch seems to be popular within this topic, but he had a great album in a group (stress...) and a great debut album and underrated works since, so i cant put him as the biggest waste of talent. he's arguably got two of hiphops most recognizable songs during the golden era "simon says, my life"

i want to say ali vegas. clue really got this boy blackballed good. i still put the first 5 years of material ali put out against any ny solo rapper not named, nas or jay and at the very least it would be a discussion.

BUT

its, jay electronica. he's the lloyd daniels of rap. the ed obannon before the hs knee injury and even they got to the league. he's fukkin lenny cooke

Just to avoid repeating something someone else said, I'll throw this one out there since he reps my hometown:

Royce Da 5'9".

-Ghostwriting for Dr. Dre and Diddy.
-Good friends with the best-selling rapper of all-time
-Music on the GTA III soundtrack.
-Even had a little guest appearance on a pop record ("I Wanna Be Bad"-Willa Ford).

"After his manager Kino stated: "I’ve seen Em sit Dre down like a pupil and coach him on rhymes" on a phone interview,[3] Dr. Dre requested that Royce cut ties with his manager. Royce refused to fire his manager, thus his relationship with Dre ended."

Dude could've been banking and :eat: a LOT way sooner if he hadn't fallen out with Shady for that stretch. Think about all the shyt he missed out on by trying to do his own thing and beefing with D12:

-Could've capitalized off the rise of 50 Cent.
-Would've definitely gotten a cut on the 8 Mile OST.
-Could've shined when the whole Shady camp was tearing Ja Rule a new a$$hole. :whoa: (Pause)
-Major distribution. They got Obie Trice & D-12 buzzing.

Dude missed a lot of opportunities. I was glad that he squashed the beef and "Lighters" ended up doing well, but they could have done the "Bad Meets Evil" thing a LONG time ago when records were REALLY moving and Shady was in his prime. He would've cashed the fukk out. :smh: Damn, man.
