Jadakiss immediately popped into my mind. He's so talented, but never made that classic album.

Then I saw Jay Electronica, and I thought "yeah, he's a much bigger waste of talent"

im surprised no one said canibus.

canibus isnt a waste of talent, hes a waste of a career.

i wouldve said juelz santana. if he capitalized on his fame at the peak of his success during the wayne and dipset hype, he would have easily catapaulted into a household name by now, instead he looks like an old rapper trying 2 fit into the new generation with his new mixtape.

Pharaoh could have had a better career as far as the rap game goes. He's retired too which is sad to me. Always struck me as a smart guy though and down to earth. Probably doin well for himself. Black excellence.

SMH at Jay Electronica. Calling what he's done with his talent is worse than labelling it waste. More like negligence.

Lord Have Mercy, and Starang Wondah are honorable mentions. Method Man too. Meth had KONY potential at one point right after his debut. Cant forget Prodigy's winging it in the booth azz either. 50 too. There's been a lot of lackadaisical careers with Hip Hop music.

:damn:

I didn't realize Monch retired. It's funny, as much as people talk about Juelz, I always felt like he was a Cam knock off and never really had his own identity.

I think if Blu doesn't turn things around he'll be the next contestant on this list.

Man, it's all in how you define this. To me, Jada and Luda are the two biggest wastes.

Kiss doesn't have that clear cut classic. The Last Kiss is his closest, but with the quotables and great verses he's dropped over the years, he should have a classic album (plus, he's only put out three albums in 15 years). I thought he dropped the ball in '04 after he put out the Champ Is Here mixtape. Coulda been KONY if Kiss of Death was a better album (wasn't trash, but it was a step back from the hype his mixtape produced).

Luda is technically a near flawless rapper. Perfect voice, flow, presence, etc. He's been on tracks and hung with or destroyed most of your favorite rappers. He always stands out, but he's another guy that should have had a bigger impact. I know he sold records, but something's missing. :ld:

Honorable mention: Grafh. For the life of me, I still don't know how he didn't blow up in the early 2000s. Wildly talented and had some great mixtapes.
