Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
It's also well known that Biggie DID write some stuff and only started doing the no paper thing while recording RTD so it's entirely possible that he wrote The What and some other songs but didn't write anything down for others.
easy mo bee just had an interview talking about BIG doing this during RTD... he admitted sometimes big used paper, MOST times he didn't

i don't know where the "biggie NEVER wrote rhymes" came from...

but it was well known, most of the time, he'd just be chillin all night, then go in the booth with no paper or nothing... and drop full songs on tracks he just heard 3 hours ago

act like it's hard to come up with 16 lines and memorize it in your head

dude wouldn't do this in 15 mins... he'd be at the studio for 6-8 hours and pump out 1-2 tracks... why you think he only had 1 extra album ready... he wasn't a studio rat at all..

if you can't memorize 1 thing in 8 hours, you got more problems than rapping

People find pieces of paper with handwritten lyrics from John Lennon and other artists and can get like $25,000 if not more if they decide to sell whereas (some) rappers think its cool to never write anything down.............................

Biggie wrote rhymes. Whether he did so in his head or paper they are definitely written. You don't come up with stuff like Somebody's Gotta Die on the fly.

My understanding is that he developed them in his head over time then spat them out..hence Cease claiming Big had 7 songs in his head when he died.

They were not exactly freestyles. His freestyles have their own signature, whereas his pre written material is more refined.
Jay also stopped writing after he discovered Big was no longer writing.

False

It's been stated by numerous people there that Jay had already constructed his Brooklyn's Finest verses in his head, and when Biggie arrived to write his verses, Jay passed him a pad and pen, and that's when both realized that neither wrote their rhymes on paper.
