In terms of skills, I don't care what anyone says. Biggie during LAD had mastered the art of rhyming. A master at work. He stopped some of the shouting he did on RTD. Ironed that flow out, dipped in and out of that pocket with ease.

With someone like Em they rhyme schemes can sound robotic. But Big knew when to come up with a quick multi then just say some slickshyt. Then the delivery :wow: i've always said his rhymes **sound** the best. Rolls off the tongue..

I even like how the DMC insert is mad off-beat on the hook.

Or the way Biggie starts the joing literally mid bar

:wow:

Y'all motherfukkers live off of negativity
What y'all nikkaz need to get through your motherfukkin heads
Is that, y'all fukkin with some nikkaz that's on a higher
motherfukkin level -- we don't give a fukk
About what you think about less how you feel about us
What you got to say about us
We gon keep doin our motherfukkin thing
From now till the year three thousand bytches!
You can't breathe, you can't sleep, you can't eat
without thinkin about us!
And without thinkin about us on your mind
we gon' haunt your asses motherfukkers!

The World, but from BK
:wow:

going to revisit the album tomorrow.. last day of the world and all that :stopitslime:

If you wake up on Saturday...it'll be Life After Death and you can :blessed: and listen to it again.

...as I said in a thread I made a while back, this album is is the best engineered hiphop album...Big's rhymes, his rhyme schemes, ad-libs, sound effects. It's perfect on this album.

"Somebody's Gotta Die" is another under-appreciated Big song.
