Lol..hybrids suck..should of got a road bike..dude that sold it to you doesn't know shyt..of course you can ride road bikes on the street..it's not like you're jumping off curbs all day and bending your wheels..just realign the spokes every year and you're good..should cost about $15

Bump. I caught the biking virus. I'm in the process of buying a few bikes. I like vintage road bikes. I live in a city like NYC so biking I see lots of cyclists.

I know nothing about bikes. I want a cruiser for carrying groceries and a road racing bike for commuting to work and back. I live within 2 miles of my job. I know I can put together my dream bikes without spending as much as these hipster ass shops are charging.
Edit: after reading this thread I have to say I know more about bikes than most of you, I want to know technical information like replacing parts and shyt.

what you want to know? ive done custom work like installing carbon fiber drop handlebars and converting friction shifters to bar end levers, my go to pedal is a spd shimano

i have a mountain bike with hybrid tires.
the the tires are wide like mountain bike tires but the middle is completely smooth and the outside is chunky.

best of both worlds, i fly on the streets and have grip making turns on any surface.
