Bikini model charged in $2 million identity-theft ring

An identity theft ring that included a sultry bikini model racked up $2 million in fraudulent charges to bankroll lavish trips, luxury cars and fancy shopping sprees, authorities said Tuesday.
Curvy vixen Patricia Perez-Gonzalez, 26, her boyfriend Alberto Companioni, 31, and others allegedly opened 40 American Express Platinum cards using their victims’ stolen personal information, the Manhattan DA’s office said.
The cards were then mailed to vacant homes across the country where the thieving couple or their accomplices snatched them up over a two-year period.
The ring primarily targeted the elderly, officials said.
The Miami-based couple flew to New York, California and Hawaii, dined at pricey restaurants like Bagatelle and blew tens of thousands at Hermes, Burberry, Louis Vuitton and the Apple store, court records show.
Perez-Gonzalez, whose Twitter feed showcases dozens of racy shots of herself, often resold the goods through her online clothing shop “Le Fashion Wheels,” according to the DA’s office.
The duo’s Miami pad was allegedly filled with stolen merchandise, including racing bikes, expensive skiing gear, a Rolex watch and Chanel handbags, officials said.
Authorities also seized forged IDs, blank credit cards, a credit card encoder and victims’ credit reports.
Perez-Gonzalez frequently submitted scantily clad pics of herself to Maxim magazine’s Twitter feed #HotPicAtNoon!

In one sexy snap, Perez-Gonzalez wears barely-there daisy dukes and an America flag crop-top sweater as she pumps gas.
Perez and Companioni were arraigned in March on charges of grand larceny and identity theft. They’re being held on $500,000 bond.
“Across the country, the defendants spared no expense while enjoying the use of credits cards opened in their victims’ names and inflicting damage on their credit,” said DA Cyrus Vance Jr.

In the light of day she poses in Daisy Duke shorts and bikinis that barely cover, well, much of anything. Her Twitter account accentuates assets that she clearly wants the world to admire.
And yet, say New York prosecutors, there’s a side of Miami vixen Patricia Perez-Gonzalez, 26, that she didn’t want for public consumption.
Prosecutors say Perez-Gonzalez and boyfriend Alberto Companioni, 31, helped run an elaborate clandestine identity theft racket that netted the couple millions of dollars. A search warrant led investigators to their Miami apartment. Inside: expensive bikes, Rolex watches, pricey handbags and high-end electronic gadgets.
Trips to New York, California and Hawaii were common, says a complaint filed against the couple in New York state court. Shopping sprees took place at extravagantly expensive outlets like Hermès and Louis Vuitton.
The scam wasn’t all that complicated, say authorities: The couple and others used the Internet to steal IDs from mostly senior citizens, ordered 40 new American Express platinum credit cards in the names of their victims, then had the new cards sent to vacant homes where they would later be picked up.
Authorities placed the couple’s haul a bit north of $2 million.
For their trouble: The couple was arraigned in New York State Supreme Court in March on larceny and identity theft charges and are being held on $500,000 bonds. It wasn’t clear Wednesday if the couple had retained an attorney.
“Across the country, the defendants spared no expense while enjoying the use of credit cards opened in their victims’ names and inflicting damage on their credit,” Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. said.
Perez-Gonzalez’s Twitter page is filled with her posing in string bikinis, short-shorts, and other sexy outfits. The New Post reported that Perez-Gonzalez often submitted scantily clad pics of herself to Maxim magazine’s Twitter feed #HotPicAtNoon!
