It's true though, population growth IS going to have to slow down at some point or there will be an ecological collapse. The Earth is only so big and can only support so many people, and as resources get more scarce we're going to see more famines, droughts, wars over resources, etc.
It's not a race thing. Now, what's the ethical way to deal with the issue? I dunno. But too much population growth is just going to lead to more human suffering so I'd rather avoid that. Seems like the best way to do it is to raise the standard of living enough for most of the world that people don't feel a need to have many kids.
