I'm right, and you know it. Electric vehicles are controlled by intellectual property laws, making end user repair difficult if not impossible, see Tesla. Software allows for a system of perpetual subscriptions tailor made for rent seeking and forced use of proprietary licensed tech.

This goes double for self driving vehicles. Perpetual leases. License agreements. Imagine a corporation being able to lock you out of "your" vehicle.

none of that is a default requirement of EV's . everything you're describing is possible because of a lack of regulation and an industry drive for more revenue generating features.

a lot of what you're describing was happening with ICE vehicle's first. the age of the smartphones has shown corporations that consumers can be finessed out of their privacy with the introduction of new tech and few regulations.
