Bill Gates: within 10 years, AI will replace many doctors and teachers — humans won’t be needed “for most things”

There’s a lot of work that would need to be done, but I’m not completely mad about it. Some of these doctors misdiagnose / don’t treat / diagnose black patients equally.

This is probably true, tho i think human interaction will still hold value.

Doctors and teachers take years of training and research to become knowledgeable enough to do the job .

A.I does the same research and training in seconds.

I think you still need a human liaison in the middle to make sure the interactions are going as they should.

And these tech billionaires are the same ones gutting public services, social security, and worker training programs that would alleviate the poverty.

Folks are delusional if they think Ubi will ever be a thing if it has to come from tech billionaire pockets :russ:

Even worse when you consider that Republicans will take pride in their government not serving them. For example, last week I spoke to a white veteran who in one breath admitted that he will be woefully dependent on veterans affairs and social security when he retires in two years, but in the next breath; the same veteran says Elon is doing a good job eliminating the "fraud" , benefits and support jobs in these programs that will support him when he retires. :snoop:

So prepare yourself for a dystopian future...

Microsoft is renting their data centers to OpenAI so he's promoting AI out of self interest. It's not as good as the salesmen say it is and many people believe the logic models have peaked.

And guess which race of people are completely unrepresented in these AI firms that program the medical programs and robots? And keep in mind that the talent pool for Google, Apple, open AI, Oracle, etc is sourced almost exclusively from these prestigious IVs on the East Coast and Berkeley's on the west coast that are now anti-dei.

So imagine how horrible black health outcomes will be when an overwhelmingly white, male , and sub 40s group of programmers design the logic and automate healthcare.

It would be almost as disastrous as when they release automated police dogs and facial recognizing software on black neighborhoods.

these rich oligarchs think they can take all the money and that we will all be ok with nothing nah
I think you guys might be better off in Canada than us.

You've seen this last 3 months in America, right? Our population is complacent.

For example earlier in this thread i mentioned that....

I swear it's like a death cult in our nation right now :snoop:

It's very comparable to when the UK willingly jumped into brexit knowing that it would harm their livelihoods and weaken their standing in the world .

Definitely not. Not within 10 years anyway.

I liked Bill when he was making Windows and didn't have a voice outside of Microsoft. We put to much emphasis on rich people's opinions on daily things.

Do robots/AI like hoarding money? If not, where's all that money going to go??
