Western society is on a downwards spiral to collapse. We're all complacent and we don't put up anywhere near a fight. When the wealthy class buys up an even greater amount of the available assets, there truly won't be a middle class and the west will resemble something like Brazil. And that's probably in a 20-30 year timeframe.I think you guys might be better off in Canada than us.

It's very comparable to when the UK willingly jumped into brexit knowing that it would harm their livelihoods and weaken their standing in the world .
We know that public opinion has zero effect on policy. We know the politicians are bought, and they would rather cut government spending than even think of taxing the wealthy.
So I don't see how we stave off the economic collapse without pitchforks. Yet we are so complacent and mollified with social media, sports and entertainment that people won't grasp the pitchforks until after the collapse.
