jay never says anything interesting because he has nothing interesting to say. he has the personality of a dead moth. id rather have a conversation with a crazy homeless person.
because you got people claiming hes the goat, the face of the genre, that hes pushing the fukking genre to new heights and a bunch of cringe worthy statements, yet the guy cant hold an interesting conversation to save his life. he never says anything sightful or deep, displays zero social awareness. hes basicallya 70 year white banker in a rappers body. all he cares about his money, all the art bullshyt is just a thin veil of nothingness so he can pretend hes deep and his dumb stans can hang their hats on some dopey half baked nonsense,
What the fukk are you talkin about??? So in your mind he should be sittin there mean-mugging and ice-grillin all the white people? What are you, 13?he always seems very awkward around white people. Cheesing, laughing and speaking softly trying to look non- threatening. Disgusting.

Belafonte did that shyt the right way tho... he put that shyt out there for everyone to hear, and made sure to put Jay and Beyonce out there...cause of how so many fukking fatherless people place them above any and everything.
The dude who bailed MLK outta jail, and rode hard for civil rights.. and did all of what he did with hundreds of millions less than Jay.....telling rich ass black entertainers to stand up for the shyt you believe in, cause the blacks who preceded them gave a fukk about social/cultural responsibility and made it possible for them to have the money and influence they currently have....is grandstanding?
he wasn't just talking to Jay and Beyonce, he was talking to all the prominent black athletes and entertainers...and that's what people keep missing.
This is just nitpicking. He's just a squirrelly type of dude. He's still smart and makes a lot of good business moves and is very particular about what he says. This is why I say it's a lose-lose for Jay. No matter what he does it's gonna be picked apart like a muthafukka.Be confident. Stop fidgeting around and showing his damn teeth like a little boy in front of the damn principal. That dude is awkward as hell in general, but when he gets around white media he turns into this shy, stuttering little kid.
Yes it's grandstanding. Because he doesn't know what these people believe in. Why do we assume Jay shares our interests? Jay doesn't have to deal with the shyt Harry B dealt with in the 60's, so it's not real to him.
Perspective is a lot, and you can't expect every black entertainer to have the same perspective on social issues. Thats why the older generation should talk directly to this newer generation of very rich black celebs, and try to see where their head is at, then try to guide them in right direction. It's grandstanding to just say they need to do something. What if they DO do something and it's not the something Harry B expected? He can hold a private summit to get things going. Harry B is very intelligent, and he tried to call people out and it backfired. These rich dudes, including Jay, have huge egos, and Jay generally never reaponds to people calling him out in the media.
When the Occupy movement was in effect, you had dudes like Cornel West at protests, and getting arrested cause he knows corporate america went too far and killed the middle class........... you know what Jay did? wore a shirt that said " Occupy All Streets" to make some rocawear moneyNot at all. They have not told the history of our people, nothing of who we are. We are still looking. ... And I think one of the great abuses of this modern time is that we should have had such high-profile artists, powerful celebrities. But they have turned their back on social responsibility. That goes for Jay-Z and Beyonce, for example.
Niqqa's are not beholden to their skin, if they dont feel like doing something they dont have to.That's not what he said tho, he said that current black entertainers have turned their back on social responsibility.

This current generation of wealthy blacks, mostly use their influence to make money and do nothing more than that....hell, you can't even get them to say some real shyt, cause they're worried about their corporate sponsors and how it'll affect their endorsements.
It didn't backfire at all, cause now we have an open public forum to discuss how more and more elite blacks aspire to be Michael Jordan and less like Magic Johnson and Michael Jackson.
