So you think him averaging 30 on 50/40/90 is a product of today's rules rather than his actual basketball talent?

Did I say he wasn't talented? I've been following dude since his Davidson days here in NC :patrice: I just said he wouldn't be a superstar in the 90s era because the GAME was more physical. Just because the 90's allowed more physicality doesn't make it any less basketball then what we see today. Only time the nba swallow that whistle now is during the playoffs and if I'm not mistaken Curry didn't get the Finals MVP :skip:
You still talking about shyt u don't know about:mjlol:

Son, you followed me to a good 3-4 threads after I hurt your feelings :bryan:

I'm so past all of these era arguments where the pre-evolution of the game isn't taken into account to make these trash arguments

But I don't get this physical stuff. Gave examples above in Miller & Porter who both thrived in the 90's with half the talent of Curry. Physicality didn't seem to bother them much

Curry may not have won Finals MVP, but he was dominant for that postseason as a whole averaging 28 ppg on great efficiency. He produced more in the playoffs than in the regular season and it was a preview for what was to come the following year in terms of three point volume. He doesn't really get many calls as is compared to contemporaries so that's not a reason he'd struggle. Applies more to someone like Harden or something

No....I'm saying they were both stars in the era while being much less talented than Curry is today. & I'm a big fan of both their games.

So Reggie was an effective driver in the era of handchecking :jbhmm:

Considering the fact that Curry is quicker, has elite handles and a better touch around the rim it only stands to reason that he would be considerably more effective at driving. The greatest off the bounce shooter in league history that can finish inside & make plays for others around him = superstar in any era.

Reggie could and also Reggie wasn't a superstar either.

My whole argument is Curry wouldn't be a superstar in the 90s......you can keep concocting any narrative you want but that was my original opinion

Wilt Chamberlain was among the strongest men in the world in his prime and Bill Russell was able to hold him "in check". Stop repeating stupidity into the atmosphere

So Curry wouldn't be able to do this in the 90s despite being a better finisher, scorer, ball-handler, shooter, and having way more range?

Mark Price survived in the era of "physical basketball" but Curry won't be putting up much better stats?
