Bill Simmons has surprised me...

Bored and hate are 2 radically different feelings. He's a huge Baseball fan. Of course he hasn't written much: the Red Sox sucked last year, Spring Training just started, Basketball season is in full force, and he's hosting a Basketball Show on ESPN.

Maybe not hate but hes not anything more then a casual baseball fan at best..he doesnt watch the playoffs when the sox arent in it. he doesnt follow the league outside of the sox

You can tell he even used the NBA trade machines, dude always has some off the wall trade idea out of nowhere.

His fake trade proposals are the worst.

He mostly makes NBA ones, but I remember a couple years ago he was convinced the Tigers were gonna trade Cabrera and of course he was going to the Sawx for some poo-poo platter.

When Kobe wanted a trade before the '07-08 season, he thought the Suns were the best place for the Lakers to trade him in a deal centered around Shawn fukking Marion.

He's also one of the first media guys I heard talk about the Lakers should think about using the amnesty clause on Kobe...the same psychotic OCD type behavior Bean has for the game, Simmons has it for his hate of Kobe and anything Lakers related

I've been to Boston a bunch of times. Nice city, but...

There is a reputation that Boston has these Mark Wahlerg sounding Ma$$hole racist dudes running around. All the main bars are these Irish pubs where you could theoretically run into some of these clowns. And I think because Boston is seen as this upscale university town that it surprises people. People expect the South, Texas, etc to be on some racist shyt, but Boston is more notable because its in the Northeast.

New England (really Rhode Island and up) also has this rep for being insular.
